Breaking Up With Your Parents

It's not the best event in an adolescent's life when you have to tell your parents or guardian that you want to do something crazy, wild and imaginative as a career, or a big movement that YOU want to start.

Everybody does it, but why does nobody talk about it?

It's a difficult thing to do, because if your parents haven't come from a background, environment or circulation of inspiration that you have experienced in life, they may go as far as to reject your idea. some however, share the same beliefs and dreams as you, and continually support and encourage their child to grow in their chosen area.

Now, no idea or dream can be big or unattainable.

It's limiting beliefs that stop us. whether that's your surrounding friends, family members or even work colleagues. It takes a strong individual to step out of line and walk their own path.

A relationship with a parent, is far more difficult than others simply because they are a strong influence from when you were a child, to embed their values and beliefs on to you.

There's no doubt people struggle when they don't achieve their parent's expectations. But what if their expectations or belief systems is not the same as yours?

Think about it, no icon or record breaker let what other people think or say stop them from achieving their goals. Even facts and statistics cannot stop the mindset of sustaining your true potential. And by potential, i mean your essence, your soul, your light. If you think hard enough, there will be some creative spirit within you that's always wanted to live a life of vitality and passion.

Perhaps that something was not well respected by your peers, not stable or not financially rewarding. The list could go on. But who's to say it was not in the first place? Most likely, yourself and the opinions you have picked up along the way.

So let's clear the air waves....

1. Refresh your mind.

2. Stimulate your senses.

3. Open up your spirit to what you know and truly believe.

4. walk a path to achieve what only you can interpret as joy and bliss.
